- splash of Shaoxing wine (or vinegar)
- 1/4 cabbage
- 1 bell pepper sliced
- 1-2 medium onions sliced
- 1 carrot grated
- 2 spring onions sliced (white part separated from green part)
- 2 tbsp black pepper
- 1tbsp paprika
- 3 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1-2 tbsp honey
- 3-4 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp ketchup
- splash of water

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts cubed (£2.35)
- splash of Shaoxing wine (or vinegar)
- 1/4 cabbage (£0.20)
- 1 bell pepper sliced (£0.59)
- 1-2 medium onions sliced (£0.64)
- 1 carrot grated (£0.06)
- 2 spring onions sliced (£0.14) white part separated from green part
- 2 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 3 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1-2 tbsp honey
- 3-4 tbsp light soy sauce
- splash of water
- 1 tsp ketchup
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in a blend of black pepper, paprika, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and shaoxing wine (or vinegar).
- Heat a well-oiled pan or wok over medium to high heat. Cook the chicken until fully done. Add cabbage, white parts of spring onions, bell peppers, onions, and carrots. Sauté until slightly tender. Add a splash of soy sauce, water and ketchup, continuing to cook for a few more minutes.
- Once the vegetables reach your desired tenderness, toss in the green parts of the spring onions and cook for an additional minute.
- Serve with rice or enjoy alongside noodles!
