Ingredients
2chicken breasts cubed (£2.35)
splash of Shaoxing wine (or vinegar)
1/4cabbage (£0.20)
1bell pepper sliced (£0.59)
1-2medium onions sliced (£0.64)
1carrot grated (£0.06)
2spring onions sliced (£0.14)white part separated from green part
2tbspblack pepper
1tbsppaprika
3finely chopped garlic cloves
1-2tbsphoney
3-4tbsplight soy sauce
splash of water
1tspketchup
oil for frying
Instructions
Marinate the chicken in a blend of black pepper, paprika, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and shaoxing wine (or vinegar).
Heat a well-oiled pan or wok over medium to high heat. Cook the chicken until fully done. Add cabbage, white parts of spring onions, bell peppers, onions, and carrots. Sauté until slightly tender. Add a splash of soy sauce, water and ketchup, continuing to cook for a few more minutes.
Once the vegetables reach your desired tenderness, toss in the green parts of the spring onions and cook for an additional minute.
