Ingredients Needed

  • Spaghetti or any other pasta (rigatoni is a great substitute)
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Butter ( I used a plant-based butter to make this recipe vegan)
  • Seasonings: 2 tsp parsley, 1 tsp chilli flakes, 1 tsp brown sugar, salt to taste and pepper to taste
  • Spring onion (optional)

Ingredients

  • 250 g Spaghetti (£0.47)
  • 3 Garlic Cloves (£0.21) mince/finely chop the garlic
  • 2 tbsp Butter (£0.14)
  • 2 tsp Parsley
  • 1 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp Pasta water
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Spring onion optional

Instructions

  • Begin by boiling the spaghetti/pasta according to the packet instructions. Once cooked save a cup of the spagetti water and then drain the rest of the water.
  • In a medium heated pan fry the butter, minced garlic and seasonings until the garlic starts to brown.
  • Throw the boiled spagheti into the pan and mix the seasonings into the pasta.
  • Lastly, pour in the pasta water and season well with salt and pepper.
  • Serve with chopped spring onions and enjoy ; )
