Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 250g Manfredine Pasta (cooked) (£0.94)
  • 3 Diced Shallots (£0.35)
  • 1-2 Birds Eye Chillies (£0.11)
  • A handful of Basil (I grow basil at home so this is no cost to me)
  • A handful of Parmesan (£0.60)
  • 2-3 tbsp Olive Oil

For the sauce:

  • 3-4tbsp Dark Soy Sauce (£0.27)
  • 1-2 tbsp Honey (£0.05)
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic

Total Cost= £2.32/£1.16 Per Portion!

For the Pasta/Noodles, I am using Manfredine Pasta today to make this Quick & Easy Pan-Fried Pasta/Noodles.

If you can’t find Manfredine Pasta in your local shop feel free to use the following alternatives:

  • Tagliatelle
  • Rigatoni
  • Egg noodles (absolutely love this recipe with egg noodles!)
  • Ramen noodles

How To Make Quick & Easy Pan fried Pasta/Noodles

This recipe calls for very few ingredients hence why it’s become my weekly go-to recipe.

How to make Quick & Easy Pan Fried Pasta
  • Create the sauce: Combine 3-4tbsp Dark Soy Sauce, 1-2 tbsp Honey, 1 tsp minced ginger, and 1 tsp minced garlic
  • Dice 3 Shallots into even cubes. Slice 1 chilli and in an oiled hot pan fry until the onions turn brown.
  • Fry the Basil for 1-2 minutes or until soft.
  • Pour in the sauce and fry on high heat until the sauce bubbles.
  • Add in the cooked pasta/noodles and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle in grated Parmesan and fry for 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve with more grated Parmesan and sliced basil

Ingredients

For the Sauce

  • 3-4 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce (£0.27)
  • 1-2 tbsp Honey (£0.05)

  • 1 tsp Minced garlic

  • 2-3 tbsp 2-3 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  • To make the sauce combine 3-4tbsp Dark Soy Sauce, 1-2 tbsp Honey, 1 tsp minced ginger, and 1 tsp minced garlic in a bowl.
  • In a medium to hot pan, fry the diced shallots and sliced chilli until the onions begin to go golden brown. Throw in the basil and fry together for 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn the heat high and cook the sauce until it bubbles up. Throw in the cooked pasta/noodles and fry for 2-3 minutes or until the pasta/noodles are covered in the sauce
  • Sprinkle in the parmesean and fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Top with parmsean and fresh basil
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use 1 or no chilli at all in this recipe if you prefer
