Chocolate Nutty Granola

This healthy granola is perfect for a healthy breakfast or even a sweet treat. You wouldn't believe me when I say this granola will make you feel like you're eating a "healthy" version of coco pops. This sweet granola is made with oats, coco powder, nuts, chocolate and honey.

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips You can use a broken slab of chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp Coco Powder
  • 2 Tbsp/15ml Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 36g Pecan Nuts
  • 36g Almond Nuts
  • 36g Hazel Nuts
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract Optional
  • Pinch Cinnamon Optional
  • Pinch Coffee Optional
  • Pinch Sea Salt Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 160C and line the baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, add the oats, coconut powder, chocolate chips, coconut oil, honey, nuts, vannilla extract, coffee, cinnamon, and sea salt. Combine all the ingredients until the coconut oil,honey and coco powder is all combined in.
  • Place the mix into the baking tray and using your hands or a spoon flatten the mix evenly.
  • Add into the oven for 20-22 minutes. Let the granola cool off for 30 minutes before pulling apart.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  •  If the granola mix looks a bit dry and isn't sticking together then add a bit more honey until the mix sticks together. 
  • I abosolutely enjoy the toasted nuts in this recipe so before you put the mix into the oven sprinkle your choice of crushed nuts over the top.
