Instructions
To start off chop up your vegetables and set aside.
In a bowl add the beef and season with 1tsp pepper, 1tsp sugar and 1tsp garlic powder. Set aside.
Heat up your pot on a medium heat and add the oil. When the oil is heated (the oil will move smoothly around the pot) add in beef. Braise the meat until its brown on the outside. Take the meat out and set aside
In the same pot add the vegetables and cook until the onions are translucent. Add in the rest of the spices and cook for another two minutes. Throw in the braised meat and stir everything in.
Add in the stock and ketchup and cover the pot with the lid. Turn the heat on low and let the stew cook for 45 minutes. (Add more or less seasoning according to your preference)
Serve with rice or soft bread and enjoy!
Notes
If the stew is slightly watery take 4tbs of the stew sauce and add into a bowl. In the same bowl add 2tbs of cornflour. Mix untill there are no clumps. Next, add the cornflour mix into the pot and stir in. Leave the stew to cook for longer until the stew is thicker. If needed add more cornflour.
